CIR REALTY Real Estate Review for April, 2016

The Calgary market remains fairly stable through March seeing slight declines in pricing. The downward pressure continues to be from no improvement in the labour market and consumer confidence lacking.  There still seems to be lots of fence sitters either waiting for the bottom or waiting for "the right place" to come onto the market. Even with the levels of inventory rising, we still aren't seeing the quality of places that buyers are wanting. Each month in 2016 sales have continued to improve with inventory levels rising and as the Spring market develops we expect to see the larger inventory push fence sitters into the market improving sales.
